Diagnostic Testing & Assessment

Philmont Guidance Center offers a variety of diagnostic services that can help you or your child achieve their greatest potential.

Quotient™ ADHD Testing

The Quotient™ testing system uses state-of-the-art computer and infrared motion tracking technology to accurately assess physical motion and shifts in attention state to give an objective picture of the core symptom areas of ADHD. The test takes 15 minutes for children and 20 minutes for adolescents and adults.  The results of your test are compared to a database of results generated by age and gender matched people with and without ADHD.  The results of the test will allow for more accurate diagnosis of attention-deficit issues and safer use of prescribed medication.

Testing using the Quotient™ ADHD testing system is often covered by insurance.  For information about Quotient™ ADHD Testing or participation in our comprehensive ADHD evaluation and treatment program, call our Huntingdon Valley office at 215-914-2119 or contact us through our website form.

Other Diagnostic Testing Services

Through the use of psycho-educational testing, our certified school psychologists can develop recommendations to help your child achieve their greatest potential in school.  Diagnostic testing services can provide a wealth of information and can be used in educational planning and in the development of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or a 504 plan.  In addition, the results may help guide your child’s therapist or psychiatrist in the development of the treatment plan to address emotional or behavioral issues.  Other ways the testing can help include:

  • Eligibility determination for special education services
  • Gifted child evaluations
  • Kindergarten and first grade readiness testing
  • Psycho-educational testing and school planning
  • Private school admissions testing
